Matt Murdock a.k.a Daredevil was blinded from being exposed to radioactive material from a truck that almost struck a man that he ended up saving. That accident rendered him blind but enhanced his other senses to the extreme. He began training in martial arts, eventually mastering them to become an impressive fighter. Though his day to day occupation is a lawyer, he fights crime at night. His love interest in the Marvel universe is Elektra, an admiral fighter. He first appeared in the pages of comic books in 1964 in Daredevil #1.
